About Me
“Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do”
My name is Abdullah M. Alay, and I'm a Saudi-based videographer and photographer. I feel incredibly fortunate to do what I love. My passion for photography was inspired by my late father, who was an enthusiastic photographer himself. He left me his collection of vintage film cameras, including a Super 8 Kodak, a 16mm Bolex, a Polaroid SX-70, and a Canon FL 135mm f/2.5 lens, which I adapted to a Nikon F mount and still use regularly.
In 2009, when my first daughter was born, I bought a Nikon D90 DSLR—the first DSLR capable of recording 720p video. It was revolutionary at the time, and I used it to create family portraits and home videos. This experience fueled my passion further, leading me to launch Alay Productions and turn my love for visual storytelling into a full-time career.
